EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Name:  Sheryl Nelson, Health Coordinator

How long have you been employed at Partnership for Progress?

29 years

What do you enjoy the most about your job?

I enjoy educating and assisting individuals on how to use effective communication with their providers regarding their physical and mental health care needs. It can be very difficult and overwhelming at times trying to explain how you are feeling in a way others understand so when I am able to assist someone with this I am happy it will provide them with better treatment options.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In the summertime, I enjoy relaxing at the lake house or going camping. In the winter months I enjoy doing craft projects.

If you could pick a superpower to have, what would you pick and why?

To be a human lie detector and seek out liars. I struggle when people do not tell the truth. I would much prefer to be told the truth than lied to.
